That's too bad :(

It's not working - Nao funciona. Diz que a conta foi suspensa. Oh well. Maybe time to pick another host (rapidshare, filepost?). thanks a billion for the post. Obrigado!

Mediafire says, "File belongs to suspended account." I hope this isn't a signal of more trouble for you. Good luck. I share your taste in records. Thanks.

Re: Links not working

I am thaison a faithful supporter of your blog. I have been away for the past 3 weeks and have just returned. I was initially glad to see so many wonderful new posts over the past 3 weeks but found all the links are actually not working.

I would be grateful if they could be fixed so I don't miss out. I would say mediafire is usually a good host. Thank you for maintaining this wonderful blog for piano music!

FreeUploads seems to work well, is fast (downloads and uploads) and allows simultaneous download. But ... it's French! It's in France that there is a stricter law on downloads, right? Am I mistaken?

FreeUploads semble bien fonctionner, est rapide (téléchargements et uploads) et permet le téléchargement simultané. Mais ... c'est français! C'est en France qu'il ya une loi plus stricte sur les téléchargements, ai-je raison? Je me trompe?

Works great
Thank you Fly!

Yes, Fly.

You are right.
Stricter law in France than many countries. Google HADOPI.
But maybe is OK.
Biggest problem in France is with torrents.

Thank you!

I am looking forward to learn more from this blog through this comparison system you proposed.

By the way, freeuploads works great. But for how long?

Glad to see you are keeping your spirit - thank you! I am expecting to catch up with the music I have been missing for the past 3 weeks whilst I was away (from 0175 onwards).

Mediafire and freeuploads both work great as far as downloads are concerned. I will go for whichever is safer (i.e. last longer).

I know you can password-protect access to file on mediafire (i.e. users need to enter a password before they can obtain the actual link), which might make the link safer.

Good speed and good work. Thanks for it :)

Buoni entrambi, Fly, ma Mediafire è migliore. Password memorizzata. Grazie ancora

First of all, thank you for making this version - an old friend - available again!

As to the downloads, the new ones seem to work fine. However the Mediafire was faster by enough that in the time it took to download one file from the French server, I was able to download both, unzip, AND convert and save into my library with the Mediafire files!

Strange. Should vary from country to country or has to do with the supplier. FreeUploads for me is much faster (3x) than Mediafire (uploads and downloads: 650 kbps/s

I download using JDownloader and downloaded all four files simultaneously. The mediafire files ate up most of the available bandwidth and downloaded about 10x faster. I'm located in the U.S.

Thanks for your significant efforts and for the great music!

Downloads are working perfectly. Regarding the recording with Rubinstein and the Guarnieris I have my quibbles with them. This is the kind of oldstyle Mozart that I have grown away from. They make Mozart sound almost like Brahms (specially in the first movement of the Gminor quartet). Too much vibrato and rubato for my taste.

Although be my pianist of choice and understand that Rubinstein is a versatile pianist, I recognize that it's in the post Mozartian that he stands out. It is, however, in my opinion, one of the ten best CDs of these works.

Thak you Fly. For me, MediaFire is MUCH, MUCH faster. Thank you for the test, and of course, for the wonderful music.

Fly, Rubinstein is the best to mi, in so many ways, what about you?

Fly said...

In the end I give my opinion :) Rubinstein is my pianist of choice but that doesn't mean that the CD in which he participates is the best for me... or yes, we will see... :)
