Dear Fly, What biggest difference between the playing of Korolyov Inventions and interesting but eccentric Gould! I prefer Korolyov. Thank you very much.
Fly, thank you for another beautifully presented post by an under-represented pianist. I am so moved by Bach performed on the modern piano. Rather than finding it to be a historical anachronism, I believe it magnifiecently illustrates the principle that soul stirring creative genius transcends the instruments of an era and is relevant, indeed essential, to our times. I love the sonority of the modern piano, capable of faithfully rendering the indisputable, immutable truths composed three centuries prior. The music of J.S. Bach is suffused with truth, logic yet nontheless creative for all of it's rigorous architecture and formal structures, and speaks to the human condition, human spirit, and that which is timeless and enduring in us all.

Grazie mille!
Thanks again!
BTW, do you have volumes 5 and 6 of Shelley Clementi's Sonatas Cycle?
I don't have the volumes 5 & 6.
Thanks anyway for your infinite piano pearls!
Gosto muito de Bach :)
E, a propósito, lembrei-me desta versão de Toccata et fugue ;)
